Demolition

Clearing the Way for
What's Coming Next

Every new build starts by getting rid of whatever's in the way. Old slabs, failed foundations, obsolete structures, interior floors being replaced, abandoned utilities — it all has to come out before the real project can begin. Done right, demolition is fast, clean, and sets the next phase up for success. Done wrong, it leaves buried debris, damaged utilities, and headaches for every trade that follows.

Corbett's Contracting handles commercial demolition across Wilmington and Southwest Ohio. Concrete slab removal, existing foundation demo, small-to-mid structure demolition, interior floor tear-outs, and full site clearing with haul-off included.

In-house equipment, in-house operators, dumpsters and haul-off coordinated. We go in, take it down, haul it off, and leave the site ready for the next trade.

Commercial FAQ

Questions Before You Bid It Out

What's the difference between your demo scope and a full demolition contractor?
We handle slabs, foundations, small-to-mid structures, outbuildings, interior floors, and site clearing. Full structural demolition of large commercial buildings is typically a specialty demo contractor's scope — we coordinate with them on mixed-scope projects.
Can you recycle concrete from demo?
Yes. Where possible, demo concrete is hauled to a recycling facility rather than landfilled. It can also be crushed on-site and reused as base material if the project calls for it.
Do you handle hazmat abatement like asbestos?
No — asbestos, lead, and other hazmat abatement is specialty work handled by licensed abatement contractors. We can coordinate with them on mixed-scope projects and take over once the site is cleared of hazmat.
How quickly can you start a demo job?
Schedule-dependent. Small demo jobs can often start within 1-2 weeks of bid approval. Larger demo tied to broader site prep projects schedules with the overall construction timeline.
Do you handle the disposal and dumpsters?
Yes — dumpster coordination and haul-off are typically included in the demo bid. Disposal fees are either included or itemized depending on scope size.
