Answers for Business Owners & PMs

Do you pour commercial concrete slabs, parking lots, or warehouse floors?
No — Corbett's Contracting does not pour commercial concrete. Our commercial division is focused on site prep: utility installation, demolition, excavation, and grading. We do pour residential concrete (driveways, patios, garage floors, barn floors) for homeowners, but commercial concrete pours are not part of our scope.
Can you provide a COI for our project?
Yes — Certificates of Insurance are issued for every commercial project that needs one. We carry full general liability and workers' comp coverage. Let us know the insured parties and any specific language required, and we'll get it to you before work starts.
Do you work from civil engineering plans?
Yes. We regularly work from stamped site civil drawings, grading plans, utility plans, and erosion control plans. We'll review the plans at the bid stage and flag any scope clarifications needed before construction starts.
Do you handle OUPS and utility locates?
Yes. OUPS calls are standard before every excavation and utility job. We mark existing utilities, protect what's in the ground, and coordinate with private utility locators when the site needs it.
Can you coordinate with a GC's schedule on a commercial build?
Yes. On GC-led commercial projects, we slot in as a coordinated sub. On owner-direct projects without a GC, we can help sequence other trades — demo, utilities, concrete, framing.
What's your typical turnaround from bid to start?
Small commercial site prep jobs can start within 2-3 weeks of signed bid. Larger projects with permits, utility coordination, and civil engineering typically run 4-8 weeks from bid acceptance to groundbreaking.
